Blockages
C & L drainage is based in Welshpool and we cover Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Shropshire, and mid-Wales. Please give us a call if you have a blocked drain sink shower toilet or a blocked manhole. We will try our very best to accommodate you. We will give you the price over the phone and this price will not change unless you ask us to carry out any other type of work e.g camera survey. If you do want us to carry out other work the price will be agreed with yourselves before the work is done.
Stage 1
Arrive on site and discuss with the customer the issues they are having. The engineer will then carry out his own investigation and pick a manhole cover/drain to work from first.
Stage 2
Unwind the required amount of jet line, feed the jetline down the drain pipe in the direction of the blockage. Keep jetting the line until the blockage is cleared.
Stage 3
Once the blockage is cleared wash down the manholes, replace all of the covers and tidy up.
Blocked drains
A drain can block for any number of reasons and cause the customer a lot of problems if not dealt with in a timely manner. A blocked drain can be caused by grease from the kitchen sink, a displaced sewer line , over use of toilet paper, sanitary products put down the toilet to name but a few. In our years of unblocking drains we have dealt with many different types. A common problem is root ingrest from trees and shrubs growing above the sewer line. One of our most quirky unblocks was two dead goldfish flushed down the toilet! If this is a recurring blockage and there is obviously something wrong with the line we can assess the situation and give you a quote to rectify the problem. There are lots of different ways to unblock your drain and we will use our experience and every method in our toolbox to clear your drain.
To all our potential customers who have septic tanks and have a blocked drain please check that your septic tank is not over full. If it is over full we can empty the tank for you and 9/10 the lines will clear whilst we’re emptying the tank.
